About Us
The Knights of Columbus Loretto is a Catholic, fraternal, family-oriented, service organization that operates on the principles of charity, unity, and fraternity through spiritual and corporal works of mercy in Lawrence County, TN. We are part of the larger, global Knights of Columbus, with more than 1.8 million members world-wide. Our council, #4947, is one of more than 14,000 councils world-wide.
Membership is open to any Catholic man, 18 years of age or older, who is a practicing Catholic, in union with the Holy See (this means that the member or applicant accepts the teaching authority of the Catholic Church in matters of faith and morals, and aspires to live in accord with the precepts of the Catholic Church, and is in good standing with the Church).
